It’s an extremely valuable tool through which the storyteller conveys a message, information and knowledge in an entertaining manner. Stories have always been a crucial component to communicate with children and introduce concepts.
Mr. Robin Sarkar
Robin Sarkar has been associated with the Shiv Nadar Foundation for over 14 years. He has been an integral part of Shiksha Initiative from the conceptualization stage and has successfully led it from the initial pilot stage to the current hyper-scaling stage. He has been involved with all Shiv Nadar Foundation institutions and initiatives providing him a unique and deep understanding of the Foundation’s philosophy, which he has channeled towards developing the Shiksha Initiative. His innovative ideas coupled with strong focus on execution have helped Shiksha expand and achieve desired results within a short period of time. Robin graduated with Honors in Physics and has an MBA in advertising. He has worked in advertising and branding roles with HCL and advertising agencies.
Mr. Robin SarkarProject Director, SHIKSHA Initiative
Robin has been associated with the Shiv Nadar Foundation for more than half a decade. He has seen SHIKSHA from
its nascent stage and has been instrumental in the materialization of this project. Robin’s long involvement in
almost all SNF initiatives puts him in a unique position to understand the philosophy behind the foundation and
he has channeled the same ideas and thought processes into molding SHIKSHA. Robin is a young graduate in
physics and has an additional degree of MBA in Advertising. His crisp modernistic ideas coupled with his mature
experience have proved to be the lifeblood of SHIKSHA.
Mr. Sundar Mahalingam
Sundar is the President-Strategy of HCL Corporation and the Shiv Nadar Foundation. He has been responsible for building the HCL brand over the last decade in its journey to becoming a $10.8 billion, 187,000 people strong enterprise.
He is a core member of the Shiv Nadar Foundation Team and has worked from inception on many of its diverse initiatives, including VidyaGyan, a leadership academy for the rural underprivileged students; the Shiv Nadar University, a comprehensive multi-disciplinary university with strong research orientation, and the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, India’s largest private philanthropic museum with the vision to take art to the common public.
His professional experience spans almost 25 years in various roles in technology marketing, advertising and strategy planning. Prior to joining HCL, he has led the strategic marketing and communication initiatives of various technology companies like Microsoft and Hexaware Technologies. He has worked with J. Walter Thompson in communication strategy development for many years.
Sundar earned his B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, and a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
