Job Description:

Project Manager at Shiksha will be a key contributor to the success of Shiksha’s strategic software and eLearning solutions. The candidate will lead a team of Project Associate, QC and IT Support Team. The candidate will be responsible to deliver software and eLearning projects and its execution being developed by Third Party partners.

We work in an rapid and agile development process, which means that we work in short, fast bursts toward a larger vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing IT Projects for the organization and leading the development of IT Projects in collaboration with Third Party / In house developers.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Plan and execute QC, UAT and Roll out of IT Products.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Vendor Management.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements

In this project, the main stakeholders will be girls of standards 6 to 12 in two GGICs of Uttar Pradesh (primarily as a pilot). Through this intervention we plan to work with students, teachers & parents; thereby reducing absenteeism, and dropouts and increasing learning engagement by working on their academic and life skill enhancement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Competent to teach grade 11-12th Biology, build real-life connections of topics.
  • Deliver classes through advanced educational means.
  • Work on holistic development of girls – help in project and group work, hold competitions and Biology based events.
  • Maintain records of students’ portfolio.
  • Develop lesson plans for classroom lectures and coursework. 
  • Prepare and support students in learning materials and activities related to the topic/ projects, create a repository of TLM, reference books, etc.
  • Design engaging exercises for students to practice concepts.

About the Project

Recently, SHIKSHA Initiative has strategically extended the secondary section of the schools via Project Samriddhi. In this project, the main stakeholders will be girls of standards 6 to 12 in two GGICs of Uttar Pradesh (primarily as a pilot). Through this intervention we plan to work with students, teachers & parents; thereby reducing absenteeism, and dropouts and increasing learning engagement by working on their academic and life skill enhancement.

Expectations from the position:

She will be a role model for students who will inspire them both academically and behaviorally.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the academic and administrative staff to provide the best academic services to the students.
  • Will also ensure timely implementation of program activities like workshops & training, assessments, baseline etc.
  • Will maintain the records related to students and teachers.
  • Mentor students along with teachers as and when required.
  • Ensure timely course completion and curricular activities.
  • Plan counseling session for students and parents with the help of teachers.
  • Planned and rollout (class wise) students of the month program.
  • Ensure the use of ICT content by the teachers and students.
  • Help in reporting and planning activities.
  • Any additional tasks will be assigned as per the work requirement.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation or masters’ degree in education, management, humanities or any field.

Primary:

  • Teach students as per intervention designed for students and teachers
    • To adopt Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and integrate in the traditional teaching and learning process in primary classes
    • Support in digital content development by bringing field level feedback and experiences to storyboards and animations
    • Creation and execution of Teaching Learning Materials and classroom activities
  • Conduct the assessments timely for the students and score the responses based on guidelines
  • Motivate/counsel parents for students whom they are teaching/interacting towards continuing education
  • Based on deliveries/testing/pilot of new interventions/suggestion share feedbacks – in structured and unstructured manner

  • Documenting standard operating procedure, best practices, and field research findings.

  • Build organizational knowledge base through research and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for new research and data analysis base on organisation requirement.
  • Support in preparing concept notes, project closure reports and other projects related documents.
  • Developing research papers articles based on the research and data analysis.
  • Designing of research tools, conduct research and collect data from field
  • Other required documentations related duties, key responsibilities as per reporting manager.

(B) Operations:

  • He/she shall ensure implementation of defined project deliverables as per Project Academic Calendar.
  • He/she shall ensure all project related tasks and activities are planned and executed in a timely and effective manner.
  • He/she shall act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all project related communications/ directives/instructions/requests between the organisation and the different stakeholders. He/she shall also ensure smooth communication exchange between the two parties.
  • He/she shall also explore partnerships with other non-government entities working in the similar domain that can contribute in any possible way for the project.
  • Ensure Mentoring and Monitoring visits to project area schools as per requirement defined visits.
  • To facilitate and organise meetings between the organisation and Government officials as and when required.

(F) Procurement:

Coordination with SNF procurement team for various project related requirements.

  • Should possess Post graduation degree in development studies/social work/mass communication.
