AWC Felicitation Workshop

A workshop for Anganwadi workers was organised by SHIKSHA Initiative on 10th October 2022. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Poonam Tiwari, District Program Ofcer (DPO), Gautambudh Nagar, Mrs. Manju Verma, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Dadri, Mr. Radhey Shyam, Child Development Protection Officer (CDPO) Sikandrabad and Mrs. Neha, Head of Gram Panchyat, Chithera along with the team of Anganwadi workers and helpers. The objective of the workshop was to share experiences, learnings and planning a way ahead after completion of 30-day long pilot Anganwadi program.

Launch of SHIKSHA Samriddhi Program

SHIKSHA Initiative entered a new domain of providing ‘quality education to adolescent girls’ through its SHIKSHA Samriddhi Program which was launched on 26th August 2022 to ensure that young girls complete their schooling and get an ecosystem for holistic development. The program started by adopting the Govt. Girls Inter College (GGIC) Kamlapur, Sitapur, and Govt. Girls Inter College, BB Nagar, Bulandshahr. The purpose of this project is to extend academic support to the girl students of GGIC and develop college environment to promote personality development and increased learning outcomes.

Apex Leadership Visits

Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, CEO, HCL Corporation and Trustee, Shiv Nadar Foundation visited all the programs of SHIKSHA Initiative in Koknamau village of Kasmanda Block of Sitapur on 23rd April 2022. Ms. Roshni visited Government Girls Inter College, Kamlapur where SHIKSHA’s newest initiative – AllGirls School (AGS) is being implemented. She interacted with the girls and motivated them to excel in their lives.

Alignment with Aspirational District Programme

The Aspirational District Programme focuses on development across five sectors of Healthcare and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Water Resources, Basic Infrastructure, and Skill Development and Financial Inclusion. In education domain, the focus of ADP is on learning outcomes at primary and secondary level, especially students’ performance in Mathematics and Language. It also focuses on infrastructure pertaining to education institutions such as girls’ access to toilets, electricity supply, drinking water, etc.

Project SACSHAM

SHIKSHA Initiative is an implementing partner in a rather brilliant initiative named as Project SACSHAM (Smartly Attended Classes for Skill Honing and Advancement Module) of UP education Department launched by Mr. Ishan Pratap Singh, Chief Development Officer, Shravasti.
