Associate/Deputy Manager- Finance

Organization Background:

SHIKSHA Initiative under Shiv Nadar Foundation (started in 2012 to eradicate illiteracy from Uttar Pradesh by creating a model which is easily replicable, scalable and measurable) is working with government schools in Uttar Pradesh with an aim to improve educational standards/learning outcome. Various interventions in this direction are being carried out including ICT content based on the current UPSCERT curriculum and tactfully making it more inclusive and interesting for the students.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Taking responsibility of all the essential financial functions of organization and the planning and execution of financial duties as per the need of the projects.
2. Preparing and reviewing financial statements, reports, and forecasts it to ensure financial stability.
3. Drafting budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports required by regulatory authorities.
4. Preparing reports on accounts payables, receivables, and inventory management, bank reconciliation and various reports needed by management.
5. Observing the risks involved in the financial activities and strategize to manage it.
6. Handling financial negotiations with banks and financial institution.
7. Engagement in procurement processes.
8. Evaluating the financial performance of the organization.
9. Keeping track of all budgeting activities of SHIKSHA Initiative
10. Coordinating with SNF finance and procurement team.
11. Interested in taking additional tasks assigned as per the requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
2. Candidate with prior experience working in financial domain will be preferred.
3. A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements.
4. Proficiency in financial planning software such as MS Office (Excel, Word and Power point) and SAP.

Base Location: SHIKSHA Initiative office, Shiv Nadar University, Dadri, Gautambuddh Nagar

Salary: As per the experience/negotiable
