Position Overview: As a Data Analyst at SNF’s SHIKSHA Initiative, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and optimize educational interventions. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to gather, analyze, and interpret data, contributing to the continuous improvement of educational programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of data from various sources, including student assessments, teacher feedback, and program evaluations.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in educational data.
  • Develop predictive models and data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of educational interventions.
  • Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools to visualize key performance indicators and monitor progress towards program goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical support for program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and educational research, incorporating innovative approaches into analytical processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-6 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the education sector or related fields.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js, and proficiency in creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading analytical projects and mentoring junior team members.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to driving positive social change through data-driven decision-making.
