Project Associate-Research and Documentation (Operations)

SHIKSHA Initiative under Shiv Nadar Foundation (started in 2012 to eradicate illiteracy from Uttar Pradesh by creating a model which is easily replicable, scalable and measurable) is working with government schools in Uttar Pradesh with an aim to improve educational standards/learning outcome. Various interventions in this direction are being carried out including ICT content based on the current UPSERT curriculum and tactfully making it more inclusive and interesting for the students.

Responsibilities:

(A) Research and Documentation:

  • Develop/ utilize/ maintain templates for capturing all project activities.
  • Responsible for collecting data points, analyzing and generating various project report.
  • Documenting standard operating procedure, best practices, and field research findings.
  • Monitor data and generate reports at regular intervals.
  • Build organizational knowledge base through research and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for new research and data analysis base on organisation requirement.
  • Support in preparing concept notes, project closure reports and other projects related documents.
  • Developing research papers articles based on the research and data analysis.
  • Designing of research tools, conduct research and collect data from field
  • Other required documentations related duties, key responsibilities as per reporting manager.

(B) Operations:

  • He/she shall ensure implementation of defined project deliverables as per Project Academic Calendar.
  • He/she shall ensure all project related tasks and activities are planned and executed in a timely and effective manner.
  • He/she shall act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all project related communications/ directives/instructions/requests between the organisation and the different stakeholders. He/she shall also ensure smooth communication exchange between the two parties.
  • He/she shall also explore partnerships with other non-government entities working in the similar domain that can contribute in any possible way for the project.
  • Ensure Mentoring and Monitoring visits to project area schools as per requirement defined visits.
  • To facilitate and organise meetings between the organisation and Government officials as and when required.
  • He/she shall ensure weekly/monthly/quarterly project reviews with the relevant Government departments and stakeholders (DM/CDO/BSA etc.)
  • In addition to the above points, he/she shall be liable to take additional responsibilities as and when entrusted upon from time to time.
  • Planning for training and various project related activities.

(C) Finance:

  • Keeping track of all budgeting activities.
  • Coordination with SNF finance- SNF accounting team.
  • Keeping track of finances of SHIKSHA Initiative.

(D) IT:

  • Keeping track of IT equipment health and their optimum usage.
  • Coordination with SNF and SHIKSHA IT team for various project requirements.
  • Keeping record of all the assets serial number and other details.

(E) Audit:

  • He/she will be responsible to conduct project wide audit at Dadri and Sitapur location.
  • He/she will be responsible to conduct IT assets verification and coordination with asset verification team.

(F) Procurement:

Coordination with SNF procurement team for various project related requirements.

Qualification:

  • Should possess Post graduation degree in development studies/social work/mass communication.
  • Candidate with prior experience working in research domain will be preferred.
  • Familiarity and expertise on different data analytical tools like (Microsoft suit, SPSS etc.)

Desired skill sets:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office with Advance excels
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Project Management tools
  • Report writing, Proposal writing, Designing Concept note etc.

Reporting Manager: Project Manager, SHIKSHA CoE (or unless and until stated otherwise)

Base Location: SHIKSHA CoE headquarters

Area office: Shiv Nadar University, Dadri

Salary: as per the experience/negotiable
