SHIKSHA Initiative under Shiv Nadar Foundation (started in 2012 to eradicate illiteracy from Uttar Pradesh by creating a model which is easily replicable, scalable, and measurable) is working with government schools in Uttar Pradesh with an aim to improve educational standards/learning outcomes. Numerous accelerated technology-enabled literacy interventions are being carried out in this direction based on the UPSCERT curriculum. Since its inception, SHIKSHA Initiative has touched the lives of 185000+ students in more than 1700 schools and trained around 4500 teachers in using ICT to make pedagogy more effective and engaging.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments.
  • Review and modify existing training programs and develop new programs that target tangible results.
  • Develop educational materials on a quarterly or annual basis as needed, including visual aids, multimedia learning tools, and training manuals.
  • Utilize a variety of methods such as conferences, demonstrations, workshops, classroom training, meetings, and on-the-job training to make training and development an interesting and dynamic process.
  • Conduct required and recommended training in various locations to in-house teams, external government teachers, Anganwadi workers, DIET, SCERT, BRC, etc.
  • Collaborate with other training vendors or third-party training providers.
  • Continually evaluate training solutions for quality, business impact, and scalability.
  • Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to the approved training budget.
  • Prepares and implements training budget.
  • Review and analyze instructional effectiveness and prepare reports determining the impact of training on employee skills and how it affects KPIs.
  • Manage training schedules.
  • Manage database and training records.
  • Device ways to monitor and evaluate the impact of training.
  • Develop a training team by holding train-the-trainer sessions and handhold them till they become proficient.
  • Government liaising.

Educational Qualification and Skills:

  • MBA or any degree in education and training.
  • Is well-versed in educational and organizational training theories and methodologies.
  • Proficient in communication – Hindi and English.
  • Knowledge of advanced computer skills – MS Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple training events.
  • Data analysis.
  • Effective inter-team coordination.
  • Ability to moderate large groups.
  • Good experience of providing complete full training cycle٫ assessing needs٫ plan٫ develop٫ coordinate٫ monitor and evaluate.
  • Excellent knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
  • Close familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques

Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a facilitator or trainer in the education sector.

Requirement: Should be okay to travel in rural parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Reporting to – Academic Head

Salary – Competent to market standards and dependent on your last drawn.
